About OFMUG
Where technology and business meet is not a clearly defined line of demarcation. OFMUG was founded
for the dual purpose of exploring the application of IT to business and to provide education and insight to
those who daily concern themselves with managing and maintaining technology for the good of the
business.
Oracle's Fusion Middleware Suite makes it possible to integrate, automate and secure systems on an
enterprise-wide scale, as never before, using industry standard technology. Therein lies one of the
challenges; business people must have a better understanding of how technology can be deployed to
improve the business; technology people must have broader knowledge of business in order to make
technology fulfill the needs of the business.
The Business Segment is for managers who want the opportunity to engage with others for the purpose of
discussing technology trends, challenges facing IT in the business, deriving the greatest value from
technology investments and many other topics. Business Segment members will drive the topics of
discussion and foster an atmosphere of mutual learning and discovery.
Technical Segment membership is open to all IT professionals, end-user, companies and vendors of IT
products and services. The focus is on imparting knowledge that will help members improve their
professional lives. Vendors are invited to join and are encouraged to give educational presentations about
their products and services.
